Banter Bulldogge - The Banter Bulldogge is a medium sized breed of dog. They can weigh anywhere from 50 to 85 pounds and stand between 21 to 24 inches in height. They are an extremely powerful breed with a muscular build. They have large square heads that are strong. They have very muscular jaws. Their coats are short and smooth. Coat colors include, but are not limited to, fawn, black, and brindle. They have drop ears that are often cropped at birth. The Banter Bulldogge is a very new breed. It dates back only to the late 1990’s. Todd Tripp from Southeast Ohio developed the breed. Mr. Tripp was trying to recreate the Brabanter Bullenbeisser of the 1700’s that was found in the central Belgium province known as Brabant. This breed is used mostly for companionship and is often compared to the very popular Boxer breed of dog. The breed is equipped to pull large amounts of weight and have a keen hunting sense.
