These dogs can function well in apartments if owners exercise them consistently. They will also do fine in a yard, and enjoy being in warm environments.

Special Grooming Needs

These dogs have smooth coats that can be groomed easily. Owners will want to brush them on a consistent basis, and they should only be bathed when they need it. When the coat is rubbed with a towel, it will display an impressive gloss. The American Staffordshire Terrier will shed standard amounts of fur.
